I know the joys and pains of being a small business owner. In my experience, most small business owners would rather be growing their business than pouring over the books but poor bookkeeping practices can hurt small businesses in big ways.
Why I love bookkeeping
I fell into bookkeeping by accident. First a family friend needed help with the books for their locksmith business. Then a few years later my husband wanted to start his own electronic recycling business and needed me to do the bookkeeping for him.
We learned the hard way how easy it is to make bookkeeping mistakes and how painful it can be to make accounting mistakes but through that experience I learned that I enjoy bookkeeping and that I want to help other small business owners avoid mistakes that will hurt their business.
